2018 Ford Fusion Review

2018 Ford Fusion

It’s stylish, versatile, and handles the roads in a reliable way, with numerous engine choices and helpful technology. The 2018 Ford Fusion truly provides a standout Lewisville, Denton, and Grapevine driving experience.

From the moment you step inside the cabin on our lot here at Sam Pack’s Five Star Ford Lewisville, you’ll be able to see why this vehicle has received so many accolades from area drivers and auto industry professionals. There are many Ford Fusion reviews out there, but in this one, we feature easy-to-read info about performance, the interior, and tech features.

Ford Fusion Performance

There are four different engines to choose from in the Fusion, starting with the 2.5L 4-cylinder, which produces 175 horsepower. If most of your driving experience will be the daily trip to work or running errands, this is the perfect engine. Though if you’re looking for a more powerful engine option, you’ll have it.

The available EcoBoost® engines deliver that extra power. There’s a 1.5L 4-cylinder engine and 2.0L 4-cylinder engine. The first engine produces 245 horsepower, which makes any maneuvers on the highway along with pass-and-merge driving a breeze. Want to really experience everything this car can do? The Ford Fusion Sport features a twin-turbocharged V6 engine, which produces 325 horsepower.

A gas engine comes standard, but if you’re trying to maximize fuel economy there’s a hybrid version which features a long-lasting lithium-ion battery. The plug-in hybrid edition of the 2018 Fusion, meanwhile, features an EPA-estimated total driving range of 610 miles, with the gas engine only turning on when battery power runs out.

Inside the Ford Fusion Cabin

2018 Ford Fusion InteriorDrivers (and passengers) will certainly notice the comfort offered by the Fusion immediately upon stepping inside. The available 10-way power front seats and leather-wrapped steering wheel are two convenient amenities and add a touch of class to the cabin. Front legroom checks in at a spacious 44.3 inches, enough room for your feet on longer drives. Those seated in the back will be comfortable too, thanks to 38.3 inches of legroom.

You’ll also see that the Fusion features a class-competitive trunk, too. With 16 cu. ft. of trunk space, there’s enough room for about a dozen grocery bags, some golf clubs, or suitcases for a weekend adventure. Use the 60/40 split-folding rear seat to your advantage, too.

Helpful Tech Features

The SYNC® infotainment system comes standard in the 2018 Ford Fusion, with voice controls and the ability to makes hands-free phone calls. The 4.2-inch screen in the center console comes standard.

If you’re looking to upgrade, the SYNC® 3 system is the best way to do so. This upgrade provides you with a larger touchscreen and user-friendly interface. Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ come standard, and a smartphone can be linked to the larger touchscreen. Read text messages, make phone calls, and play the music stored on your phone, all through this system.
