We have good news for Ford owners. The new Ford SmartLink platform will be available soon for expanded access and a wide array of connectivity features . Owners of 2010 – 2016 model-year Ford and Lincoln vehicles can now gain access to features like remote start, remote lock and unlock, security features, location alerts and Wi-Fi access for up to eight devices.
This new technology enables connectivity features normally only available on the newest Ford and Lincoln models. With a simple device that plugs into a port below the steering wheel, the Ford SmartLink system will allow for upgrades to new features and 4G Wi-Fi hotspot that has not been available for 2010 to 2016 year Ford cars and trucks.
Beyond Wi-Fi access and convenient remote vehicle features, SmartLink will allow Ford and Lincoln owners to receive vehicle service alerts, schedule service appointments and utilize vehicle location assistance features.
“Ford SmartLink will surprise and delight owners of recent model-year vehicles by adding some of today’s most popular connectivity features” said Stephen Odell, executive vice president, Global Marketing, Sales and Service. “Offering it through our dealerships is another way to keep us connected with our customers and earn their loyalty.”
The Ford SmartLink team of engineers spend more than two years developing this new technology in collaboration with Delphi Automotive and Verizon Telematics. It has been proven to work seamlessly with Ford and Lincoln vehicles.
“From security to performance, we’ve conducted extensive testing and made a number of improvements to ensure Ford SmartLink enhances the customer experience for our owners,” said Raj Nair, executive vice president, Global Product Development, and chief technical officer.
Our Ford Dealership serving Dallas is pleased to offer this new technology upgrade. If you would like to learn more about the new SmartLink system or any of the innovative new features found on Ford cars, trucks, SUVs and vans, please Contact Us.
